Class C2 begins its 2026 Nebraska state volleyball tournament on Thursday, Nov. 5 in Lincoln. Eight qualifiers enter a three-round championship bracket, with four quarterfinals setting the field for Friday’s semifinals. This preview lays out every opening matchup, the seed-list records and the confirmed route to Saturday’s final. It does not assign a winner or use a regular-season poll as a substitute for the official bracket.

The top of the field

No. 1 Thayer Central enters the state seed list at 28-3, with a 45.6774 wildcard average. No. 2 Centura is 32-1 with 45.6061 points. Those are NSAA state-seeding figures, not a new prediction, a coaches-poll ranking or a claim that either team has already advanced. The bracket places the first and second seeds in opposite halves.

Follow the results, not a prediction

The volleyball scoreboard and class brackets display reported final match results. The automatic state-results feed checks MaxPreps every five minutes during its tournament operating window; it is not a live, point-by-point or set-by-set feed. An unplayed match has no assumed score, and no team advances because it has a better seed or record. NSAA’s bracket remains the official record. Individual set scores and player statistics appear only when a matching report supplies them.

Use the state tournament fan guide for venue, attendance and viewing information. First-round and semifinal matches are at Pinnacle Bank Arena, championships are at Devaney Sports Center, and the listed third-place matches for C1, C2, D1 and D2 are at Lincoln Northwest. Do not assume ticket or streaming access from a previous season. All match times in this preview are Central.
