Nebraska’s 2026 football playoffs open Friday, Oct. 30, with 64 assigned first-round games across Classes A, B, C1, C2, D1, D2, D3 and D6. This page brings the statewide round together: reported scores, class-by-class navigation and direct links to the Game Centers where each matchup’s preview and bracket path are available.
The scoreboard above uses the same score records as the permanent playoff scoreboard and class brackets. It is not a second, manually maintained list of scores. Choose a class to see its eight opening matchups, or stay on all classes and expand the list. Today shows that day’s assigned games; before game day, Upcoming shows the scheduled slate. LIVE and FINAL isolate reports with those explicit statuses.
What a score update means
Before a score is reported, the card shows its posted kickoff time rather than an assumed 0–0 score. Central and Mountain designations are retained where provided. A scheduled start does not mean a game has begun, and a fourth-quarter report does not become a final just because time has passed. Unconfirmed results stay unconfirmed.
The board refreshes every 30 seconds while this page is visible, but new reports depend on the underlying sources. The existing automatic MaxPreps check runs every 10 minutes; approved operator updates may arrive between those checks. An ADMIN report carrying a trusted X handle displays that attribution on its card without sending readers to a social-media thread. A later live report cannot erase an accepted final; MaxPreps FINAL takes precedence over a conflicting tip FINAL, and NSAA remains authoritative.
From the first round to the quarterfinals
Open any Game Center for its assigned teams, source records, reported result and next-round path. The bracket advances a team only after a valid final establishes the winner. A quarterfinal opponent is not presented as confirmed until both feeder-game winners are verified. The quarterfinal round is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 6; semifinal games follow Friday, Nov. 13. Use the class pages for the complete path and the championship schedule for verified finals information.
This article keeps its Round 1 URL after Friday. The same page can then serve as the round’s results archive, linking verified recaps and the next coverage article when it is published. Original publication time is preserved; editorial changes receive a separate update time. The score-report timestamp on the board is distinct from the article’s editorial date.
