Thursday’s Nebraska football results gave Week 8 an emphatic opening before the larger Friday slate. Millard South beat Lincoln East 65–0, while Elkhorn South defeated Lincoln Southwest 29–7. Those are final scores on the NSAA’s Week 8 report, not projections or live-game estimates.

North Platte posted a 48–13 win over Lincoln Northwest, and Omaha Westview defeated Omaha Central 22–13. Norfolk beat Lincoln High 58–7. For readers catching up Friday morning, those three results belong to Thursday’s completed slate; they should not be confused with the games still ahead tonight.

More from Thursday’s scoreboard

Riverside defeated Elba 73–0. Dundy County Stratton beat Bayard 52–6, Crawford defeated Morrill 41–13, and Elkhorn beat Ralston 35–13. Bishop Neumann won 42–23 over Palmyra, Hay Springs defeated Cody-Kilgore 18–6, and Gothenburg beat St. Paul 13–0.

The NSAA also lists Garden County’s result against Banner County as a forfeit. That belongs in the official record, but the administrative 1–0 listing is not a played-game score and is not presented here as one.

Friday is next

The Friday football scoreboard is the place to follow the next part of Week 8. The NSAA schedule includes Millard West at Millard North and Omaha Westside at Papillion-La Vista South. A scheduled matchup is not a prediction, and a final is posted only when a result is reported.

This is a score-based morning roundup. It does not infer touchdowns, individual statistics or turning points from a final margin. Open a Game Center for the information available for that matchup, and check team pages for schedules, verified records and related coverage.

Revisit Thursday’s results or follow Friday’s scores. State softball also resumes today; its live scores and class brackets remain one tap away.
